2009 Mission Conference
Sunday March 15
Mike Heath – Executive Director of the Maine Family Policy Council (Formerly the Christian Civic League)
His activities have earned him public praise and criticism. In 1995 Heath — agreeing with then Governor Angus King’s strong anti-gambling convictions — served as King’s public representative on his statewide gambling commission. Heath led multiple unprecedented statewide referendum campaigns, including 2 peoples’ veto campaigns.
Mike speaks throughout Maine and New England, in churches, civic groups and on college campuses. He is often quoted in Maine’s daily newspapers, online web blogs, and frequently offers the League’s perspective on national, statewide and local radio and television news programs.
Mike makes his home in South China, Maine with Paulie, his wife of 26 years. They have 3 grown sons, two of whom are serving in the United States Marine Corps. Their oldest son is a graduate of Grove City College in Pennsylvania.

We also offer “Moms’ Morning Out” for moms who have children of any age with disabilities of any kind. “Beyond Limits” is our one-year Bible curriculum available through our office, especially designed for teens and adults with cognitive disabilities
