TODAY
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNING CHURCH OF THE
SOUPER BOWL OF CARING COMPETITION…….
“BOOTHBAY REGION COMMUNITY FELLOWSHIP”

The Souper Bowl of Caring Celebration took place last Sunday at St. Columba’s Episcopal Church. Each of the seven community churches who participated were represented and some took part in the worship-filled service with scripture readings, prayer, music and a great message from Rev. Carol Stevens of the Boothbay Harbor United Methodist Church. Our own Pam Kamen read scripture from Matthew 25: 31-40. Jeff Keyes, President of the Food Pantry, spoke about the pantry and it’s service to the community – answered questions then passed out Certificates of Participation and announced the winning church who received “The Trophy” which will be kept on display at the Fellowship for one year until we repeat the process next year – 2010.
Collectively all seven churches raised over 5,300.00 in food value and money gifts. Great Job everyone !
