THIS WEEK: EXTREME MAKEOVER, CHURCH EDITION!
SANCTUARY RENOVATION BEGINS TOMORROW, Oct. 24 at 8:00 a.m. The trustees are grateful to all who have committed to working this week, some taking off time from jobs to be here. A crew from For His Glory Baptist Church will also be here tomorrow to help dismantle and take away the old pews. More workers will be needed later on to paint, help with wiring and lighting, install wainscoting, remodel the platform area and build stairs. Contact Tim Beck if you can help.
If you cannot work but you’d like to support the workers, please consider providing lunch or snacks for them this week. Sign up on the sheets at the back of the sanctuary. Thank you!
IT’S A GO — TRUNK OR TREAT!
SAVE THE DATE: MONDAY, OCTOBER 31, 6-8 P.M.
To participate as a “trunker” or to help out with games, parking lot monitoring, or serving food, see Meredith Fowlie or the Schlossers. MONETARY DONATIONS ARE NEEDED for the purchase of hot dogs, buns and beverages. This is a service we offer to families as they come from the parade downtown and they really appreciate it. Please place donations in covered pot on back table or contact Robin Beck.
SHOEBOXES FOR SAMARITAN’S PURSE Operation Christmas Child are due by Sunday, Nov. 13. Boxes and brochures are available on the back table. Coordinators Tom and Cathy Wilson are overwhelmed by and appreciative of all the support they have received for this ministry!
VOLUNTEERS
Any church members who would like to be added to the list of volunteers to greet, read Scripture, do Junior Church or help in the nursery, please contact Robin in the church office. We can always use substitutes.
Those who are on the schedule, please remember to arrange for replacements if you cannot serve on a Sunday and to let Robin know.
GREETERS, kindly take a head count during the early part of the service so we may have a record of attendance.
Thank you all so much for your help.
For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Rom 12:4-5
